Biography
Queensland-trained ENT, Head & Neck Surgeon
Dr Aaron Griffin is an Australian-trained Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT), Head and Neck Surgeon with extensive experience in Facial Plastic Surgery. His practice includes reconstructive surgery (including skin cancer reconstruction), rhinoplasty, and selected facial cosmetic procedures, alongside a wide range of routine ENT treatments.
Dr Griffin grew up on the Gold Coast and completed his medical degree at Griffith University, receiving the Griffith Award for Academic Excellence.
Since 2012, he has worked towards and completed specialist surgical training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. During this time, he developed a particular interest in facial skin cancer management and reconstruction. His academic work includes multiple peer-reviewed publications and national and international presentations, where he received the Neville Davis & Frank Szlazi Prize for research presentations by a training Head and Neck Surgeon.
Dr Griffin maintains an active interest in clinical research. He has completed a Master of Philosophy (UQ) and is currently involved in research focusing on peri-operative considerations for facial surgery, including assessment tools and approaches relevant to swelling and bruising following facial surgery.
He is a member of the Australian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgeons, the Australian Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Dr Griffin is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. His areas of clinical interest include facial skin cancer, facial plastic surgery, and rhinoplasty.
